1st Test at lords

• More than half of the england team never played ashes
• Aussies were being hurt by English bowling
• They were five down and Gilly was batting well
• But  Flintoff removed him
• Harmison got 5 for 43
• Aussies were all out for 190
• Never forget that lords is second home of glenn Mcgrath
• 500th wicket for glenn and english were 1 down
• English were 18/3 and 21/5
• Kp made his debut and he batted as if he was playing his 100th test
• World's two best bowlers were hit for sixes

• Aus was playing well as Clarke was at crease

• Mcgrath was not feeling well and he was not playing

• Opening partnership was going good for english.Then Warne was introduced
• Strauss practiced a lot against a bowling machine which immitates all styles of Warne to be aggresive
• He did it on field too
• After that kp and Flintoff were going well

• No wickets fell and Aussies were scoring runs
• At last Flintoff got Warne

• 20,15,9,4,3.In this way score was decreasing
• Then Harmison bowled magic ball and batsmen gloved it and keeper takes.
• 1-1 and the series was on.

3rd Test at Old Trafford

• English won toss and choose to bat
• Vaughan didnt make his mark in series and now it was his turn
• England in command with his 166
• Meanwhile 600th test wicket for Warne
• Before start of series Warne was separated from his wife and his daughter gave him a wrist band.
• After milestone he showed the band and kissed it
• But it was nothing doing for England
• Flintoff form continues and they scored 444
• on day 2 Aussies were going well
• so Simon was called to produce  reverse swing
• He got five wickets
• Aus were trial by 180 and 3 wickets left
• They then avoided follow on by Warne
• Rain stopped play
• Next day Strauss was going well.He reached 100
• English lead by 422
• On last day aussies needed  to win
• Rp century.Then came freaky Flintoff
• 4 wickets to go.Warne has to come to bat but Gillespie came.
• It meant they were not playing to win but were playing for draw.Hoggard removed Gillespie
• 31 overs left and 3 wickets left.It looks easy on paper but on field its difficult
• 13 overs left.Then Strauss got a catch and left but keeper collected it

• 42,27,24,10,7 and last over.appeals all around
• 3 balls left for Harmison and  at last its  draw

4th Test at Trent Bridge

• England batting and openers palyed well both Strauss and Trescothick.they were 4 down
• 2nd day morning Kp was gone.theay were 230/5
• Flintoff shines again and its his 50
• His 1st century against Aussies came.they were 477 all out
• Mattthew Hoggard took 3 quick wickets
• Simon Jones also bowled well and swing all around.He got 5/44
• Aussies all out 259 behind.Forced to follow on
• After 1988 Aussies were forced to follow on for first time
• Unusual field plans from Vaughan
• Ponting was run out.He in frustration shouted at England dressing room
• England needed 129 to win
• Warne took the ball and produced wickets as usual
• English 70/4 and Warne bowling brilliantly
• Tension all around and at last England wins

5th Test at Oval

• England lead by 2-1.Aussies needed to win to retain Ashes urn
• Toss was crucial.English won and choose to bat
• English openers going well but Warne changed game
• Warne knows what batsmen doesnt want to happen and he does that
• Captain Vaughan came and gone.Strauss got 50
• Flintoff also gets 50.
• Strauss gets 100 and only player to do that in this series
• Englisg 373 all out
• On day 2  Aus going well but rain interrupted
• It stopped and both openers got centuries 
• Then Flintoff  breaks partnership.
• He bowled 18 overs continuosly and Aussies were 367 all out
• Bad light again
• Last day of summer and England were ready to bat long the day and Ashes was theirs
• Mcgrath was in and Vaughan gone for 45.then Bell gone
• English were 192 ahead when Collingwood fell
• 100 for Kp.Last day of last test and what a day for hin to score century
• Lee continuously bowling at 94 mph.Mcgrath removes Kp
• England were 340 ahead and bad light
• In this way day ended and England retained urn after 18 years

THIS WAY THE ASHES ENDED AND ENGLAND KEPT ASHES WITH THEM IN 2009 UNDER STRAUSS AND IN 2013 UNDER COOK.......BT 2005 ASHES MATTERS A LOT FOR ENGLISH FANS AND CRICKET FANS............

• sehwag 175 and kohli"s debut world cup100..it means a lot to him.i remember in tat ground highest was 179.fortunately it was by our then coach gary kirsten.ind won tat match

• sachin scored 98th cntry.it was so gud matc..though ind made good score eng captain andrew strauss played well and made it tie

3rd ind vs netherlands

• ind won wth some difficulty

4th ind vs ireland

• yuvi"s form started here.50 and five wkt haul

5th ind vs sa

• ind made gud scre.sachin scored his 99th cntry.wow...man or run machine..bt lost many wkts in end and lost match due to bad bowling 

quarter final ind vs aus

• sachin scored 85 and made good scre.....yuvi bowled well and wat a match it has been.its the match made in heaven..superb....misbah made us feel tension for sometime bt in the end virat took his catch and ind won....celebrations started all over ind
